DIY Entrance Decoration for Wedding

Image
If you're looking for a great DIY Entrance Decoration for your wedding or quinceneara, here is what I used at my wedding. The first photo was taken at Michael's where I bought the three bowls needed. I bought a large bowl for the bottom tier, a medium one for the middle tier, and a small bowl for the top tier.  I bought pink water beads at Wal-Mart and since they ran out, bought clear ones at Dollar General and mixed them together since my color was light pink. I added 3 (fake) rose buds in the bottom glass with 3 LED lights, 2 roses & 2 lights in the middle bowl, and 1 rose & 1 light in the top glass bowl.  The total cost of this was around $40.00 and since everything belongs to us, we get to keep everything. Win-win for us. To the left of the decoration, we had our guest book and engagement photo.

Darice Self-stick Gems 78 pc Review

I used these for detailing wedding decorations and they work great! Very sticky.

Wilton Gift Box Card Holder

I bought this card holder at Party City with a 40% off coupon. Original price was $19.99. The card holder was bent and didn't match up perfectly but for 40% off, it was a good value. I added diamonds to the "ribbons" with some super glue to dress it up a bit.

MetaGrip Ponytail Hooks Review

Image
I got these ponytail hooks free from Sally's with a coupon for purchasing a different item. I bought the brown one and 5 come in the pack. There are other colors too. The package says it is for "easy and secure ponytails or braids" and the directions are "Wrap your ponytail, brad, or knot until the band feels secure and hook." The package says these are a "great option to traditional pony tail holders".  I bought them because I figured they would damage my hair less , it would be easier to use, and it would hurt less to have a ponytail so it doesn't feel too tight. I tried it out and it didn't work very well for me. I read that you can use them one of these ways: 1.) hook one hook on hair then hook the other hook to the band 2.) put the 2 hooks together 3.) hook one hook into hair then hook the other hook into the hook that is hooked to the hair The first two options simply didn't work for me; only the 3rd did. ...

Save the Dates and Invitations Review/DIY

The best, cheapest options I came up with for Save the Dates for both DIY and buying are: DIY http://www.weddingchicks.com/freebies/save-the-dates/ They have limited save the date templates that are somewhat customize-able. You will have to print these yourself and buy your own envelopes. They also have some really cool customizable monograms that you can use for anything, including your cell phone wallpaper! BUYING http://www.annsbridalbargains.com/ The great thing about Ann's is you can order absolutely FREE samples to see how the Save the Dates - and invites - really look and feel. A lot of other sites I looked into charges for samples. The samples get to you within a week or so and my samples came with a coupon code for my future order which was great. All the Save the Dates and Invites I saw include the envelopes and the more you buy, the cheaper each one costs. I loved my Save the Dates and Invitations and then had to go back and order more Invitations. Th...
